The Front of our New Hampshire commemorative bill pictures Josiah Bartlett, the first governor of the State of New Hampshire.  The bill's denomination, 1788, is the year that the state entered the Union as the 9th of the Original 13 Colonies.  The actual date of admission, 6/21/1788, is encoded in the serial number within NH, the state's abbreviation.  Concord, NH is shown as the capital city. 

 

The Back of the Bill pictures the Purple Finch as the state bird, the Purple Lilac as the state flower, the White Birch as the state tree, and the deer.
